A verified badge is a tick that appears next to a TripAdvisor account name in search and on the profile. It means TripAdvisor has confirmed that an account is the authentic presence of the public figure, celebrity or global brand it represents.

It is not currently possible to request or purchase a verified badge on TripAdvisor. The qualifications are proprietary, so we unfortunately can't share more information regarding the selection criteria.

If your account does not have a verified badge, there are other ways to help let people know that you are authentic. For example, you can add information to your TripAdvisor profile to tell travellers it's really you or link to your TripAdvisor profile from your official website.
